The purpose of this position is to administer and coordinate province-wide BC Arts Council programs to support and develop professional, community and regional arts organizations, and individual artists.

The position also conducts independent program review and research to support overall program and policy development.

Job Requirements: In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below: Bachelors degree in Arts and Culture, Social Sciences, Business, or related field, plus a minimum of 2 years of related experience.

An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

Related experience must include a minimum of 2 years in each of the following: Experience in application or proposal analysis and evaluation against a variety of criteria including financial.

Experience monitoring and evaluating program performance.

Experience in providing consultative services to clients and/or stakeholders.

Preference may be given to candidates with the following experience in one or more of the following: 3 or more years of related experience.

Experience with Indigenous arts and cultural practices and/or working with equity-seeking groups.

Experience in the performing arts: dance, music and/or theatre and/or studio arts: visual arts, media arts, literary arts, museum, and cultural institution administration.

Candidates who self-identify as Black, Indigenous or a person of colour (BIPOC), people who identify as LGBTQ2S and/or people with disabilities and have the required combination of qualifications and experience.
