Join Minto to find out how you can be a part of it all! The Opportunity: The Assistant Foreman is responsible for supporting the Foreman in managing the full construction process of assigned homes from excavation through to completion.

Emphasis on achieving a high level of homeowner satisfaction and upholding Minto core values.

Accountabilities also include delivering on schedule and on budget. What youll be responsible for day to day: Initiate opportunities to assist our home owners in order to provide an exceptional customer experience;Ensure all interactions with homeowners are professional and customer focused to maintain a positive relationship with the homeowner through the entire construction processAssist Foreman to manage the construction of assigned homes from start to homeowner possession.Ensure trades and staff adhere to Minto construction processes in accordance with Minto policies and procedures;Ensure that all sub trades and buildings meet and adhere to the Ontario Health and Safety Codes and Minto Health and Safety policies;Support Foreman to be accountable for delivering within the construction budget for their unit/lots;Assist Foreman to obtain all relevant construction documents and advise if any information is missing or incompleteWalk all homes on a daily basis to identify and resolve imperfections, Building Code is adhered to, and Homebuyer options and extras are complied with.

Ensure adherence to the trade scopes of work and Minto Specifications and take corrective action as necessary; Coordinate repairs of deficiency items listed on MPDI/PDO/closing list both before and after closing; escalate major deficiencies to Foreman as required;Collaborate with Foreman and other Minto personnel to ensure schedules are met, to maintain timely completions per the business requirements;Monitor all daily trade functions including, timeliness, quality of workmanship and completion of work to ensure their work complies with Ontario Building Code, Minto drawings and specificationsEnsure timely confirmation of completion of trade work to release payment;Confirm construction orders for material from suppliers i.e.

steel, wood, windows, trusses, etc.;Respond to requests from all sub trades on materials, installations and concerns;Assist Foreman to attend all necessary municipal inspections as required.

Assist Inspectors with the completion of the review, and rectify issues as required;Work with MasterCare to ensure quality production of home construction and ensure customer needs are met;Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management Who were looking for: Education: A College Diploma (i.e.
