BUSINESS ANALYST As the successful candidate, you will provide support for the Walker Aggregates and Environmental strategic plans and M&A initiatives, including post- closure integration. You will drafts reports and presentations with supervision, consults with all third party vendors on a regular basis. If you can improve our workflow, deepen our reporting, and add value to our projects, there could be opportunities for advancement here. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary, benefits, and pension, as well as other Walker Industries perks. Walker Aggregates: Walker Aggregates, a division of Walker Industries, supplies high quality aggregates and asphalt to communities across much of Ontario.  With locations in Simcoe, Grey and Essex Counties as well as the Niagara Region, Walker Aggregates operates eight quarries, eight sand & gravel pits and two asphalt plants.Qualifications:* Supports in managing the M&A portfolio and transaction lifecycle including prospecting, financial analysis, transaction diligence and post-closure integration;* Coordinates the development of strategic plans for the aggregate and construction division and provides support for the strategic plans for the environmental division;* Provides financial and analytical insight on a wide variety of business cases and investment decisions;* Uses excel modelling to store, upkeep and analyze relevant data.* Drafts regular reports on the acquisition and M&A strategy and status;* Coordinates with third party consultants and interfaces associated with transactions, including vendors, legal counsel, consultants, property neighbours, conservation authorities, upper and lower tier municipalities, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry;* Performs industry research and develop sector, segment, and company deep dives to support company strategic objectives;* Gathers information from the sales and marketing and operational personnel to evaluate production information, review results and market conditions and make recommendations for improvements. Working at Walker Industries Established in 1887, we are proud to be a fifth-generation, family-owned, Canadian company.
