Job Introduction JOB PROFILE The Buyer is responsible for Supplier Selection and Supplier Performance monitoring by following the established IATF-16949 Purchasing Process Flow, Work Instructions and Magna oversight.

Major Responsibilities Supplier selection, new and/or Engineering Change Notice (ECN) part sourcing per PFC-03 Support Supplier Performance Monitoring and escalation of chronic supplier issues per 6-1 0008 Plan and achieve supplier cost improvement targets to support operational objectives Coordinate supply activities through the Product Delivery Process (PDP) and Engineering Change Control (ECC) process while supporting launch activities including attending all meetings Analyze and present data to support business decisions and market test/resourcing initiatives Develop and manage specific commodity strategies to support Polycon cost, quality and delivery objectives Negotiate and issue purchase orders including blanket purchase orders with suppliers for purchased part requirements Performs all job functions in safe, healthful and environmentally conscious manner Other duties as required Knowledge and Education Post Secondary Education, (Business/Materials Management) or equivalent experience required Enrolment in PMAC an asset Work Experience 3 years experience as a Buyer in Automotive Manufacturing preferred Computer literate in MS Office, MRP Self-motivated, assertive individual able to work with minimal supervision Must have proven problem solving, decision making and analytical skills Proven negotiating skills Excellent interpersonal skills Willingness and availability to travel valid passport required Must have excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) Additional Information Magna will offer you great benefits and advancement opportunities including On site cafeteria On site Gym WorkPerks/Employee discounts programs including gym membership, Canada wonderland, etc.
