Chief Operating Officer

This is a Contract position in Concord, ON posted October 6, 2021.

Mandate This is a newly created role within the organization to grow the business.

The Chief Operations Officer will be responsible for spearheading the successful expansion of their brand into untapped markets within Canada by analyzing and interpreting a wide range of customer data sets and metrics.

They will also oversee the various inputs from internal and external sources to establish the operating plan and drive the outputs derived from their respective vision and goals.

The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on, customer-focused leader with broad-based business acumen, strategic insight, sound judgement, and proven, in-depth experience in operations.

They have a successful track record of designing, implementing, and managing operational processes within a performance-driven, accountable culture.

They will have excelled at scaling organizations and managing change at an executive level that translated directly into company growth and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years of executive sales experience, specifically in B2B and B2C sales.

This candidate will be a humble and organized leader with experience in upward communication with a successful track record in expanding businesses into different markets from the ground.

They are someone who pays close attention to detail when it comes to new projects and will be a quick learner who can adapt to new environments by working independently and, in a team setting.

This role requires the candidate to have in-depth experience in customer success and employee engagement as they will be required to assist the organization increase their brand recognition and employee morale, respectively.

Additionally, they must be a strong communicator with exceptional relationship management skills, as well as excellent interpersonal abilities including the ability to get along with diverse personalities and develop strong relationships.

Furthermore, this role requires the candidate to be very results-oriented with a sense of urgency, a strong work ethic, and a team-focused approach.

Finally, they will have demonstrated super organizational and multi-tasking skills, as well as strong negotiation skills.

Selection Criteria Candidates must have the following experience to be considered: 10 years of executive operations experience, preferably within Consumer Goods and/or Services sector.

5 years of progressive B2B/B2C sales leadership experience.

Proven track record of managing, mentoring, coaching, and developing diverse teams.

Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.
