The Role The Commercial Coordinator plays an important role in our Business Engineering department.

The primary responsible is to interface with the Corporate Team and the Customer on any commercial issues related to cost and timing.

In addition, the Commercial Coordinator facilitates the information flow between corporate and all departments on commercial related issues.

Here is what you will focus on Responds to customer requests for quote (RFQ’s) and engineering changes with cost and timing Creates and maintains excellent customers relations Works closely with other departments to analyze profitability using optimum manufacturing/design techniques via Modatek Engineering Change Process Identifies and propose cost improvement opportunities Expands customers awareness of Modatek and our capabilities to implement changes and to develop a trusting and respectful relationship with our customers Suggests and implements improvements to internal process, information and procedures Assists in developing and maintaining a quote model and pricing strategy Maintains cost and sales reports for tracking and overall program profitability Knows and understands process documents and customer specific requirements as they relate to this job function Co-ordinates and supports commercial customer audits Creates and maintains customer supplier tooling records Reviews and submits customer Steel Resale program material forms Understands, promotes and lives by Magna’s philosophies and the Employee’s Charter Performs other duties as required What is required Post-Secondary Education preferably in Business or Commerce 3 years experience in costing and quoting within an automotive or related manufacturing industry Experience working with OEM’s preferred Customer relationship management experience Strong organizational and exceptional verbal and written communication skills Project management and meeting facilitation experience required Ability to work well in a fast passed environment and with a variable workload Must be proficient in Microsoft products Ability to uphold confidentiality Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to work overtime to meet customer needs What we have to offer A great work experience You will be provided with up to date training & knowledge in current automation technology Extended Health Benefits Employee Profit Sharing Plan Group RRSP with employer match Educational reimbursement program Staff appreciation events A focus on safety, health and wellness; including our “Good for You” cafeteria.
