We are looking for a passionate and collaborative Copywriter to help build The Princess Margaret brand in the GTA, across Canada, and globally.

You will help to support the creative vision and exceptional execution of work by our Creative Services department.

About the Role The Copywriter will report to the Creative Director and work with our team of creatives to support the vision for the exceptional output of the department as well as support the vision of the Foundation.

Balancing creative thinking with interpersonal skills, you champion insightful creative concepts to the marketing team and internal clients alike.

Most importantly, you are driven by a passion for crafting the most effective, emotive, and persuasive messaging in any medium.

You will: Partner with designers, writers, videographer, and art director to engage in strategic brainstorming, campaign development and creative execution, as well as to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone and style Ensure that stories and content are compelling and achieve objectives as set out by the brief Translate creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective copy concepts Proactively or in response to a brief, identify strategic opportunities for creative storytelling that deliver on Foundation or team/event objectives Be open to interviewing patients, researchers, and doctors in order to develop storylines Build relationships with internal clients, partner agencies and other vendors.

Present concepts to project stakeholders and leadership with clarity and conviction
– and assist other team members to do the same Maintain high standards of copywriting and exercise quality control Work on multiple projects simultaneously You have: 4-5 years’ experience as a copywriter, an agency or in-house creative team-including experience with traditional and digital media Exceptional writing skills, including the ability to write in a range of styles for varied projects with different audiences Strong team player who will integrate well and work collaboratively with creative team members, internal clients and partner agencies.

Proven aptitude for quick, creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines A strong understanding of marketing and advertising principles Experience with brainstorming, campaign development, and creative execution The ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle diverse writing demand Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to explain your rationale clearly and articulately A high degree of compassion and emotional intelligence Why work with us?
