Digital Development Specialist

Purpose Responsible for developing digital learning content based on established adult learning principles and frameworks and in alignment with courses designed by Learning Experience Designers.

This role monitors digital learning and program effectiveness, provides end-user support, maintains learning assets and troubleshoots as required.

Key Accountabilities Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge Develops content as per the content development framework and strategy as well as engages in technical design of digital assets, ensuring alignment with learning needs and service level agreements, defined in the project landscape.

Coordinates with Learning Experience Designers in the development of digital learning content, and develops digital assets based on scripts or storyboards Works with HR Services to coordinate program components, ensuring alignment with other parts of a program and assists with testing and deployment Maintains digital learning programs to ensure up-to-date learning content, friendly usability, troubleshooting technical issues, etc.

Tracks and reports on training activities and evaluations to ensure program effectiveness; gathers and provides trends and insights to Manager, Digital Development Architect Provides end-user support and resolves low risk inquiries and concerns Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions Actively pursues effective and efficient operations within his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct Champions a high performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment Experience / Education: Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Business or Digital Communications or pursing education in related field Required experience with Articulate 360 Suite (Storyline, RISE), Vyond, and Adobe Creative Cloud Preferred experience with Lectora and HTML/CSS is an asset Proven ability in translating storyboarding into digital learning assets (e-learning or training videos) Previous experience in designing and developing digital learning content is required Knowledge of learning theories and learning practices Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast paced environment Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical skills Proven teamwork capabilities Spanish language skills an asset Location(s): Canada : Ontario : Toronto Scotiabank is a leading bank in the Americas.
