Who we need We need an Engineering Technologist, who has an interest in Industrial Design and production to join us for a 12
– 18 month contract.

We want an Engineering Technologist who has never met a problem they couldnt solve with logical thinking and an understanding of how basic physics impacts a structure.

We need a strong communicator, focused collaborator and a detail-oriented process person who can visualization and anticipate issues as well as explain and justify their choices.

This is an opportunity for an Engineering Technologist, with SolidWorks and Excel skills, who wants to be part of Toronto-based global company.

You will immediately start to expand your skills as you gain exposure to the Array way of product manufacturing.

Our new Engineering Technologist will: Evaluate the data within the design proposal and specifications to determine the feasibility of the fabrication.

Create working drawings of designs.

Ensure the display is mechanically sound and designed for manufacturability.

Render concept images in SolidWorks to fulfill the customers specific project needs
– from a full wall, new display case to a small unit to highlight a seasonal product
– from a mechanical and design standpoint adhering to budget, timeline and quality standards.

Collaborates and communicate with Project Manager, other Technologists and the cross functional team on the development and execution of design and engineering solutions to ensure production packages convey the necessary information.

Create detailed planograms, cut files and engineering drawings to suit manufacturing processes based on the approved concept.

So, how do we know you are the new Engineering Technologist?

You have: The education and experience.

You have a two-year college or technical school diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Technology or Design (or similar field).

The technical skills.

You are highly proficient with SolidWorks, MS Excel and Word.

You learn new technologies easily.

You may have exposure to Autocad and Illustrator.

The engineering approach.

You approach issues logically and strive to be proactive.

You know how to research information and create solutions.

You have strong visualization skills and you think in 3D.

You understand how interferences, minute measurements, materials and more have an impact on the end product and you can relay that on paper.

The communication.

You are well spoken and can confidently defend your choices while accepting constructive criticism and feedback.

You can compose clear, concise business emails with ease.

The drive.

You are self-motivated and proactive.

You thrive in an autonomous role.

You know how to solve problems and search for information.
