Please submit a coverletter and resume when applying Job description The Alberta Restorative Justice Association (ARJA) is a non-profit society composed of organizations and individuals dedicated to increasing understanding of the practice of restorative justice and how it can benefit communities in Alberta.

ARJA is looking for a dynamic Executive Coordinator who will provide leadership, demonstrate excellent organizational skills, and possess exceptional communications skills across various mediums to liaise with diverse groups across the province.

The Executive Coordinator is a part-time contract position (25hr/week) which involves working directly with ARJA’s Board of Directors.

This position will provide coordination and support in carrying out the mission of ARJA: to promote and support restorative justice processes through leadership, establishing positive relationships, and development of best practices with provincial and community partners.

The services of the contract include: Executive services to ARJA’s Board members who provide direction and vision and set tasks which the Executive Coordinator performs.

These tasks would include working alongside committees of the Board to see that tasks/projects are completed in a timely fashion, organizing yearly conference, and seeking out and writing grant proposals.

Administrative services such as attending to correspondence of the Board, keeping accurate and updated records of the organization, liaising with bookkeeper and provide secretarial services for Board meetings.

Communication services that engage and support ARJA’s membership and inform the public about restorative justice through regular updating of website and social media as well as responding to requests for information and services.

The ideal candidate will have: Strong organizational, detail oriented, and time management skills Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills Exemplary written & verbal communication skills as well as use of social media.

Experience maintaining websites Able to utilize technology to provide effective & efficient services for the Board and its membership.

Ability to work independently and take initiative while still being a strong team member Their own workspace/home office and computer Qualifications: Undergraduate level studies or equivalent experience.

At least 3 years progressive administrative responsibilities.

Strong personal interest and basic knowledge of Restorative Justice Experience working in a not-for-profit environment Must reside in Alberta, but can work remotely
