Their proprietary identity technologies are backed by the latest advancements in biometrics, cryptography, systems, data analytics, and smart devices.Now, they are expending their team and looking for you, their new Information Security Engineer to join their growing company! What you’ll be doing:As an Information Security Engineer, you will be reporting to the IT Security Manager and be responsible for performing IT audits, security incident event management, compliance audits etc.Practically speaking, you will:* Complete client, vendor, compliance risk, and vulnerability assessments.* Responsible for investigating information security incidents and exceptions* Conduct audits on and monitors information systems for compliance to firm standards* Be responsible for the day-to-day management and testing of internal IT controls, remediating where possible, and escalating key issues.* Proactively offer internal IT security advice on policy, baselines, standards, and best practices.* Audit access levels to ensure the principal of least privilege is maintained.* Research and maintain proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures, and trends in computer and network vulnerabilities, encryption and cyber security.* Make sure that the facilities meet government regulations and health and security standards.* Managing facility projects budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness. The DetailsThis is a full-time permanent position with a hybrid work option, offering a competitive salary, performance-based bonus, profit sharing plan, excellent benefits package, flexible work hours, access to training and development programs. The office is based in Oakville, ON. What you will bring:* University degree in computer science, engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience* 2-5 years of experience working in cybersecurity area (performing IT audits, security incident event management, compliance, vulnerability and thread risk assessments, etc.)Experience with security tools: Splunk enterprise security, Tenable, Proofpoint, Crowdstrike, and Zscaler* CISSP or CISM security certificate (desirable, not mandatory)* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills* Knowledge of security frameworks standards (NIST, ISO SOC etc.).   How to Apply:We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply.
