A privately held Canadian Company, we are a successful supply chain partner providing “Intelligent Delivery” of products and solutions to the Industrial, Environmental, and Plastics industries. We currently operate two manufacturing sites in Colborne and Elmira, Ontario. The Elmira facility is CCC Suphur Products (Sulco Chemicals Limited) which is a manufacturer of sulphuric acid and sodium bisulphite. The Elmira facility operates a 200MT acid plant as well as a 960kW cogeneration plant. CCC also has supporting warehouses and sales representatives across Canada and in the Northeastern United States. Position: MillwrightLocation: Elmira, ON.Reports to: Plant Superintendent, CCC Sulphur Products Canada Colors and Chemicals Limited is seeking an experienced, motivated and safety conscious individual to maintain and repair all equipment associated with the operation of the plant and packaging building. The right candidate will be familiar with boilers, piping, plumbing, pumps, pneumatics, welding, compressors, water systems and some electrical knowledge. Tools are provided. This could lead to an apprenticeship if there was a desire by the successful candidate.Primary Responsibilities* Maintaining a preventative maintenance program for the Elmira facility, including upkeep of the property and buildings, that is in compliance with all corporate procedures and government regulatory guidelines.* Taking corrective action, where necessary, that is in compliance with corporate procedures and government regulatory guidelines.* Providing support for all personnel involved in the maintenance and production of the Elmira facility, property and buildings; and ensuring high standards of safety, housekeeping, quality, internal service, efficiency and cost control that are consistent with corporate objectives.* Railcar connecting and sealing* Replacing/repairing/fabricating all types of mechanical and/ or electrical equipment, providing practical and economical services to increase productivity, including repair/replacement of defective equipment (i.e. pumps, valves, hoses etc.)* Monitoring contractors’ work in compliance with health and safety regulations and corporate procedures* Keeping thorough records of all equipment inspections Requirements:* Certified industrial Millwright qualifications* 3+ years of work-related experience, preferably including the following trades: plumbing;machinery; pipe fitting; mechanical, welding.* Strong knowledge of federal/provincial environmental, and health and safety legislation* Ability to interpret technical specifications and manuals* Strong interpersonal skills* Effective time management skills* Desire to certify as a 4th class power engineer and a 3rd class power engineer.
