Operations Coordinator, Rating Lead

This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted June 26, 2019.

Our platform, the CASPer test, integrates psychometric evaluations and tests containing situational, open-ended questions that don’t have a right or wrong answer.

Using our rigorous, well-researched and tested assessments, combined with data-driven insights, we help programs make more informed and data-driven admission decisions resulting in stronger, higher quality students and graduates.

We work with over 100 academic institutions worldwide and have screened over 200,000 applicants to date.

Who we need Before an applicant’s score can be delivered to their program of choice, their test needs to be graded At Altus, we call this process “rating”.

We’re looking for a new Operations Coordinator, Rating Lead to join our team and own all things “rating” for the CASPer test including setting up the first team of contractors in a brand new market (via distance) in the UK.

Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to): team recruitment including onboarding and training of raters, managing test grading across multiple markets, quality control of our different rater pools, and timely results delivery for schools.

What problem are we trying to solve?

Academia is a sector where decisions are made under careful consideration.

Currently, most admissions processes are based solely on cognitive or academic factors, with cumbersome and unproven tools.

We know that 95% of medico-legal complaints stem from issues of professionalism and bed-side manner, and only 5% are knowledge based.

This is the problem we work towards solving every day.

As an Operations Coordinator and subject matter expert, you will build and maintain trust with our applicants and academic partners.

You will: Be an active part of the process.

You will conduct ratings for all English CASPer tests across 3 global markets (Canada, USA, and Australia).

Ensure best practices in our rating process.

You will share learnings derived from raters and rating performance with the entire team to improve overall test performance and applicant experience.

You will seek paths for continuous optimization of our results turnaround time for our partner schools.

Build relationships.

You will foster strong relationships of trust and communication with our applicants and our academic partners.

You will work alongside our Customer Success team to ensure a smooth delivery of scores into their admissions process.

Rater management.

You will recruit highly accountable contractors (4 separate pools totaling hundreds of independent contractors).

You will onboard, train and work in close collaboration with your team across our international locations to implement and uphold the highest quality standards at all times.

You will drive change by interpreting the data and sharing your insights regularly with the team.

Be analytical.

You will work closely with our research and data team to dig deep into the numbers and use your analytical skills to refine our rating processes through data-driven improvements.

Our new Operations Coordinator, Rating Lead has: The education.

Ideally, you have a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent.

The experience.

You have proven success in a fast-paced startup environment as a Project Coordinator or Lead.

The analytical and human mindset.

You are driven by a natural curiosity to ask why.

You seek the answers in the numbers, making data driven decisions and turning the results into actionable insights.

The ownership.

You are comfortable with ambiguity and you prefer change over the status-quo.
