Join us to find out how you can be a part of it all! Purpose:The Cost & Value Engineering Analyst is responsible for adding value to Minto homes while reducing the overall cost.

This is accomplished through the review, analysis, and implementation of value engineering and the introduction of innovation for residential construction projects, as well as, completion of construction cost estimates, budgeting, tendering, and analysis. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Reviews drawings and specifications and implements necessary changes and updates relating to process, costs, and trade partners.Provides input at the initial home design stage to help create a cost effective, high quality, energy efficient home.

Reviews and monitors costs estimates through the design and tender stage to ensure cost targets are achieved or beat.

Provides input or adjustments through this process as needed to achieve goals/targets.Continually investigates new products and technology through feasibility and engineering studies to help Minto be an industry leader in construction innovation.Plays a key role in the complete tender process from the preparation through to the awarding contracts, ensuring that trade partners are clear on Mintos expectations and goals.

Uses strong analytical skills to analyze tender results and make award recommendations.

Maintains a strong relationship with trade partners outside of regular tender process to ensure that efficiencies are continually achieved and value is added for our customers.Maintains and manages budgets in manner that drives continual improvement.

Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management. Technical Competencies: Education: Post-Secondary Education either a University Degree (Civil Engineering, Architectural or Engineering degree or related discipline) or a College Diploma (Construction Management, Civil Engineering Technologist or related discipline).Experience: A minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of relevant work experience in the Construction Industry as an Estimator or Analyst.
