Specialist, Business Intelligence

This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted October 1, 2021.

Overview: The Associate role within Business Intelligence provides support for the Analytical Services and Category Management enterprise teams within Acosta.

This can include the areas of data reporting/scorecard management and/or space management and section merchandising.

Responsibilities: Essential Functions: Under general supervision, manages the extract of data (syndicated, panel, and others) to be incorporated into reporting tools and templates or provides space management/section merchandising support on assigned categories at assigned customers, to include basic analysis of space to sales at both account and market level.

Maintain and update all assigned reports/tools/templates/plan-o-grams for assigned categories and/or sections for assigned customers and ensure the end product is accessible to Acosta team members and/or clients, where permitted.

Responsible for accuracy of end results that may require analyzing data for completeness, format and conformity dealing with limited instruction and often directly with syndicated data companies and IT or other vendor sources.

Perform user-acceptance-testing for company technology solutions (software, business intelligence, reporting systems, analytical tools, space management tools).

Other duties and assignments as outlined by Acosta’s Analytical Services/Category Management/Space Management team leaders.

Meeting the physical requirements – listed below Other duties as assigned Qualifications: Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree Perferred Vocational or technical training required Work Experience Requirements: Up to one-year related work experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements: Must be able to demonstrate an intermediate degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of Power BI and advanced macros would be a strong asset.

Experience with syndicated data and/or space management tools would be an asset.

Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with others and work effectively within a team.

Demonstrates a drive for results, pursuing assigned tasks with energy and a desire to achieve.

Able to understand and apply basic math and CPG principles in achievement of assigned work.
