Sr Analyst, Supplier Performance Management

This is a Contract position in Ottawa, ON posted June 16, 2021.

Primary Function: The Senior Analyst, Supplier Performance Management is responsible for working with a subset of large, complex suppliers, presenting significant potential risk to Grainger’s business and customers.

Individuals in this role are expected to coach their aligned suppliers on how to support Grainger’s purchasing requirements, to monitor their suppliers’ shipping performance to manage risk to customers, and to partner cross-functionally to drive improvements in supplier performance.

The desired candidate will possess broad Supply Chain knowledge and apply systemic thinking to mitigate customer risk and drive operational efficiencies between Grainger and our suppliers.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Collaborate with suppliers and internal partners to identify and implement opportunities to reduce Supply Chain costs and/or improve the customer fulfillment experience Mitigate risk to Grainger’s business and customers by quickly identifying and effectively acting to resolve Supply Chain issues caused by high-impact suppliers Build strong working relationships with key internal and supplier partners, across organizational levels, to effectively resolve issues, champion new ideas, and drive change Design and implement robust and innovative solutions to improve department, cross-functional, and inter-company processes and practices Preferred Education & Experience: 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred Complex problem solving and critical thinking skills with demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to drive clear and actionable insights or recommendations Diverse business or Supply Chain knowledge and systemic thinking to identify end-to-end impacts Demonstrated curiosity, creativity, and flexibility in identifying opportunities, solving problems, and driving change Effectively articulate opportunities and impacts Demonstrated relationship management to build trust, manage conflict, and drive results Capable of working with ambiguity, taking appropriate risks, and operating under pressure Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex and diverse projects with concurrent deadlines Grainger strives to be an employer of choice, to attract and retain top diverse talent, and to provide a safe and positive work environment for all of its team members.
