Temporary Workload Coordinator

Posting End Date: Employee Type: Temporary (Fixed Term)-Full time Union/Non: This is a unionized position Bargaining Unit/Local: Unifor Local 975 Location: North York, Ontario Grade: 8 We are looking for Temporary Workload Coordinators to fill current and future positions within our Dispatch Department to schedule and monitor work for our operations teams, effectively respond to emergency situations, and coordinate the completion of work orders.

What You Will Do (Responsibilities): The functions of this job include dispatching, scheduling and monitoring of work and record information to operations personnel, locate personnel and Alliance partners.

Effective response to Service and C&M emergency situations, efficient logging of emergency situations, and managing various record systems.

Utilizing the various systems to correct and co-ordinate the completion of work orders.

Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends.

Who You Are (Qualifications): University or College education an asset, minimum secondary school completion.

Ability to read and understand Operations records; atlas plates, field notes, service tickets, miscellaneous tickets, etc.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Experience demonstrating good working skills while under pressure with minimal supervision.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers.

Possess knowledge of Operations practices, policies and procedures.

Bilingualism an asset.

Knowledge of a dispatch environment.

Knowledge of SAP, Maximo, EGIS, Click Schedule.

Comments: The duration of temporary positions can vary from 60 days up to one year with the possibility of extension.

In our Dispatch Department we have temporary Workload Coordinator permanent variable hour (PVH) employees and non PVH employees.

PVH employees can work between 24-40 hours per week.
