Welder (TIG, Stick, flat)


This is a Full-time position in Orillia, ON posted September 18, 2023.

Welders NEEDED: TIG / stic / flat !!

Our well-known manufacturing client just 20 minutes north of Barrie is looking for talented welders who have some experience in TIG /stick / flat welding.  If you are looking to join a great team, then look no further and read on! 

The Perks:
Competitive wages starting at $27.44 /hr + OT after 8hrs
3 shift rotation + shift premiums
shift premiums for afternoons ($1.15/hr) and nights ($1.40/hr)

The Role:
Execute all the weld procedures required in the welding area, including the necessary preparation, such as grinding
Finish welding of assigned parts as per the drawings supplied for the specific part
Repair any deficiencies found during the inspection
Install parts that are not considered critical or non-critical for proper fit-up
Use fit-up tools including the jig table
Complete all welds in accordance with applicable standards and procedures
Grind and clean cast-components using hand grinders and other industrial hand tools
heat resistant alloys, nickle/chrome alloys

You Bring:
Secondary school diploma or high school equivalent as a minimum
Welders’ certificate or ticket considered an asset
Understanding of welding procedures and practices including welding symbols
ability to perform proper fit up techniques
Ability to perform basic visual weld inspections appearance, fusion, penetration, etc.
blueprint reading
Understanding of material characteristics and requirements
Experience with material handling using cranes, jib hoists, etc.
Practical welding test using 7018 Stick Electrode will be required to pass radiographic examination and visual inspection
