Objectives: Reporting to the Associate Director, HRIS within the HR Operational Excellence team, the Reporting and Analytics Lead is a Workday subject matter expert with excellent understanding of Workday functionality focused on how to use the platform to extract and use data to support the HR team meet business needs.

The incumbent will partner with stakeholders to gain an understanding of business needs and will leverage people data to draw out key insights in support of the business strategy and be responsible for creating Executive and Board presentation decks.

In addition, this role will partner with the HRIS Team in designing and implementing business processes and solutions within Workday.

Acco untabilities: Collaborate with COE and other HR partners to understand business reporting requirements and translate requirements into dashboards and reports to deliver data, analytics and metrics that provide meaningful insights through data Produce reports and analyses to support the needs of the business, which the business can leverage as required and on-demand Continually improve service efficiency and effectiveness by standardizing and enhancing reporting processes, formats, methods, instruments, etc.

Ensure data integrity and accuracy by regular quality checks and readiness reviews (e.g., checking completeness of data, plausibility, etc.) Mining, analyzing and interpreting data to highlight trends and relevant business insights to inform and support decisions on key opportunities/gaps Maintain accurate and reliable people analytics information (datasets, metrics etc.) for HR and the business Support alignment of HR data governance with enterprise data governance protocols and standards, including the policies, standards and processes that need to be applied and monitored on an ongoing basis Oversight and maintenance of scheduling reports including output delivery and data audits Establish strong partnerships with key stakeholders Work in close partnership with the HRIS Team to understand the processes and people data to support reporting design and output across the Workday platform Skills & Experience: Workday experience is a must for this role Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in Workday HCM and reporting Formal Workday training an asset University degree and/or 3 years relevant work experience Excellent knowledge in Workday reporting functionality with the ability to create sophisticated reports, dashboards and scorecards including complex calculated fields Solid Workday functional knowledge around business processes and Workday logic Experience building dashboards and data visualizations Experience in analytics, statistical analysis involving large and complex data sets, including a demonstrated thorough aptitude for conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses and drawing out conclusions and key insights/data interpretation Proficiency in business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) an asset High degree of proficiency with PowerPoint deck visualization and building as well as advanced Excel skills including pivot tables/data validation Experience with Workday Prism an asset Excellent relationship management and communications skills, both written and verbal Strong time and project management skills with proven organizational and multi-tasking proficiency Our story: Founded in 1962, OMERS is one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, with $105 billion in net assets as at December 31, 2020.
