Account Executive – Disruptive SaaS Leader

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted November 8, 2017.

Our client is one of the fastest growing software companies in the Academic Technology Space. They are looking to hire an Enterprise Account Executive to lead their business development activities in the field by strategically closing new business and expanding their client base.
 
The company provides a disruptive web-based video platform, which helps institutions screen candidates more effectively and efficiently than traditional methods (i.e; phone interview, entrance exam, essay, etc.). The solution is sold as a SaaS Platform – it significantly reduces the time and money it takes to screen candidates while maintaining integrity and increasing the quality pool of candidates. 
 
 About the Role:

  • Autonomous work environment (sometimes working from home, sometimes traveling across North America, sometimes working from Downtown Toronto Office)
  • Full sales cycle role (long sales cycles)
  • Sophisticated and strategic relationship management/selling
  • Selling into a US-territory (25% travel during peak season)

 About You:

  • To be successful in this role, you must be a very self-directed individual who is excited to roll-up your sleeves and do everything necessary to drive the business goals forward. 
  • The culture is dynamic and you must enjoy working as part of a team. 
  • We are looking for someone with the ability to sell to Senior Department Heads within the Academic Vertical across North America.
  • You must be a strategic sales person and an excellent CLOSER!
  • Track record of success in complex B2B sales, from building and contacting prospect lists to closing complex sales – essential
  • You must be naturally curious and have a passion for technology and an understanding of how to solve business challenges
  • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent – required
  • Ideally, you will have 4-5+ years of experience in a consultative sales role
