Business Developement Representative / Sales Representative – Alberta

RISE Kombucha is a fast-growing Montreal based company. Our mission is to nourish individuals’ bodies and minds with our bubbly beverage and keep your best self moving forward. We are currently looking for a Business Development Representative to join the team and growth with us. 2 positions are available and based in Edmonton or Calgary areas.

As a business development specialist at RISE Kombucha, your primary responsibility is to develop new and existing business in all classes of trade by growing distribution and throughput.

Working with both customers and distributors, you will strengthen and grow your territory through regular contact, promotions and product launches. Your support and participation in local trade shows and at consumer events will help build solid community, customer and consumer equity. Strong focus on merchandising and promotional opportunities with your customers will drive sales and position you as the expert in the Kombucha category. Working closely with local distributor partners will ensure an aligned and consistent approach to business development.

Major Responsibilities :

Develop new business and maintain impactful relationships with customers
Identify appropriate buyers within the target market and classes of trade
Build and prospect relationships by initiating contact and conducting follow-up communications
Target new business opportunities to expand RISE Kombucha products
Move opportunities through the sales funnel
Schedule and confirm appointments with prospects and customers
Manage planned visits to your localized retail locations of your territory
Respond to leads and telephone inquiries via both email and phone promptly and professionally
Accountable for meeting or exceeding monthly, quarterly and annual objectives and quotas
Increase distribution and throughput
Execute sales plans as intended
Ensure implementation of listings, planograms, and promotions;
Able to analyze and understand key information sources (sales reports, penetration, category management, etc.) and use them in presentations to your customers
Communicate trade information efficiently and effectively 

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND DESIRED SKILLS

1-2 years of experience in sales
University or College degree in business, sales and/or marketing (or similar);
Have knowledge of merchandising and selling best practice;
Polished and professional business approach, with strong ability to develop solid business relationships and aptitude for sales and trading;
Ability to communicate clearly on the telephone, in person, and in writing;
Exceptional organizational and customer service skills including sound methods for follow up;
Proficient using Email, Excel and Word programs;
Fluency in English is a must with added proficiency in French preferred
Able to work some evenings and weekends;
Reliable vehicle, current auto insurance and driver’s license record that indicates you are a cautious and safe driver;
