Business Development Manager

This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted November 29, 2018.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Business Development, the selected candidate will be assigned to market development in Ontario, which involves acquiring new dealers. More specifically, the selected candidate will be required to the following:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source, recruit, secure and build new partnerships;
  • Embody the BMR banner: services, marketing and programs to potential dealers;
  • Help establish the dealer experience and build brand visibility;
  • Develop new customer prospecting, cold calling, community events and networking;
  • Track prospect progression with our CRM;
  • Work closely with the Team to target new opportunities and strategies;
  • Brief the Vice-President on trends, opportunities, competitive activities, and market changes on a regular basis.

·         Minimum of 5 years of experience taking on a relevant role within the retail/hardware industry;

·         Knowledge of market trends in hardware and building materials and renovation industry;

·         Demonstrated abilities to think strategically about issues and develop thoughtful recommendations and action plans;

·         Outstanding English communication skills, in verbal, electronic, telephone, presentation, etc.;

·         Strong leadership and sales skills, and the ability to develop the BMR culture;

·         Strong business development skills;

·         Self-starter and entrepreneurial spirit with hands-on approach towards business;

·         Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment;

·         Embraces challenges and has infectious “can do” attitude.

 

This position requires frequent travel across Ontario. You must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s licence. The work schedule will vary according to the business needs.
