Director of Business Development – I.T Services

One of Canada’s most accomplished entrepreneur’s has an I.T services firm that has a large national and international client base that includes companies like Ericsson in the U.S, across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. They have also just finished building a very disruptive cloud based solution that provides an easy to scale enterprise grade SaaS solution to businesses of all sizes who will no longer need to hire an expensive IT department because with this platform they can carry out all their important functions – from order management to inventory management –  directly from the  Cloud. Their founding team includes some of Canada’s most successful entrepreneurs who have a track record of building exciting software and telecom companies (yes, plural) that have sold for $400M+, and they are on track to make this venture into another Canadian success story.  

They are seeking a highly motivated, goal-oriented Director of Sales with a strong entrepreneurial spirit to focus on new business. This is a growth role with GREAT long term potential. 
About the Role – Director of Sales

  • This is an ideal role for a strong hunter who enjoys being in front of the customer and closing deals! 
  • Responsible for prospecting and closing new business
  • Location: GTA

About You:

  • 4-5+ years of sales experience with a track record of exceeding sales revenue goals, ideally in a technical/software environment 
  • Must be an effective consultative solution seller who has experience selling services and has a strong network to build off of
  • Experience selling into managed services is an asset
  • Must be service oriented with an innate desire to be successful, grow business and manage strategic relationships
  • Strong pipeline management skills are a necessity in this role
  • Have a good grasp of technology and enjoy staying ahead of the curve with new trends and developments within this space
  • Must be someone who is motivated by identifying new opportunities and the thrill of the sale!
  • A university degree 
  • Ability to work independently, be a team player, and looking to work really fast to help this company successfully hit their 5 year plan.
