Our client is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join their award winning sales team. This is not just any sales job! This position requires you to have a technical background and the solid understanding of precision measuring equipment. You will be expected to be knowledgeable of a large range of precision measuring equipment such as adjustable parallels, caliper accessories, center gages, dial test indicators, magnifiers, micrometers, and more as a minimum requirement. Additionally, the ability to communicate competently is key for you to successfully attain this opportunity.

Job responsibilities:

  •                Proactively prospect for new business opportunities, up-sell to existing or future customers
  •                Recommend the most suitable solution according to the customer’s requirements
  •                Enter sales orders into SAP and create invoices
  •                Address and resolve any sales related issues with customers on a timely basis
  •                Coordinate shipping and receiving of items for repair and sales
  •                Update Sales force accounts, contacts, opportunities, leads, and campaigns
  •                Develop reporting method and report inside sales weekly
  •                Keep up to date knowledge of Data Management market and meet training targets to maintain a thorough understanding of products, process and promotions to provide the highest levels of sales support
  •                Provide excellent customer service by meeting and exceeding the customers’ needs and expectations, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed
  •                Create strong business relationships with prospects, existing customers and channel partners
  •                Work with marketing to drive campaigns into specific market segments
  •                Exceed quarterly and annual sales/bookings targets and maximize short term revenue
  •                Welcome clients with professional and friendly manner
  •                Other duties may be assigned


  •                A minimum of 2 year sales experience
  •                Knowledge of surveying, mapping and GIS equipment is key
  •                Proficient with SAP, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  •                Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with current and prospective clients
  •                Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with strong attention to detail
  •                Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  •                Autonomous, self-driven and a team player
