Inside Sales Manager


This is a Full-time position in Toronto, ON posted September 14, 2018.

The Role:

Reporting to the VP – Client Success and Operations, the Inside Sales Manager is responsible for all aspects of the inside sales, client services and lead generation process.

The major functions of the role include: providing leadership and management oversight to the inside sales department, training & coaching for the client service specialists (CSS), accountability for the sales targets, monitoring and reporting on sales metrics and managing the overall sales administration process including digital marketing strategies execution, providing the tools and operating structure that the team needs to succeed in:

1. Delivering top class, responsive client service, and

2. Ensuring that our internal sales engine is operating as the best in class

The Accountabilities:

· Manages and develops a solid inside sales / lead generation team that exceeds sales goals

· Sales pipeline management to ensure we have a full funnel execution strategy

· Monitor employee performance and motivate the team to reach daily goals

· Coordinate department activities and projects to meet deliverables

· Evaluate and improve inside sales and sales administration processes

· Provide coaching, training for existing team and new reps

· Proactively work on staffing capacity and levels in partnership with HR.

· Conduct employee interviews, onboarding and orientation related activities

· Manage performance, compensation reviews and developmental plans

· Schedule and lead team meetings, workshops and functions

· Analytical skills to develop management reporting, sales metrics, opportunities & threats using Salesforce and Tableau

· Ensure data quality and accurate information is captured in the client relationship management system Salesforce

· Attend and participate in industry conferences to network and develop expertise

The Requirements:

· University degree in business management or related field

· 5-7 years of experience in B2B and B2C sales environment, preferably in a high-touch client service industry

· Strong people leadership is a key requirement for this position

· Familiarity with sales process and selling techniques unique to inside sales channel

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

· Internal skills – Working well with senior management, building strong relationships with employees and team leads from all departments to specifically include: Product, Marketing and CRM teams

· External skills – Handling client complaints and concerns in a timely and effective manner, ensuring client service and client retention are always a top priority

· Goes the extra mile – Being there for Medcan during challenging times and displaying the ability to work effectively in all business environments.

· Positive attitude – Ability to take feedback and stay positive under varying business conditions.

· Strong work ethic leading sales team by example

· Ability to work in a self-directed, fast paced entrepreneurial environment

· Prior working experience with CRM systems i.e. Salesforce and Tableau preferred

· Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office Suite

This is full-time role that is scheduled for 5 days per week during business hours Monday through Saturday.
