Manager of Client Services & Business Development

The Role

Medcan is recruiting for a Manager of Client Services & Business Development to support our growing and innovative Dermatology practice. This role will have responsibility to lead and motivate a team of 2 to achieve sales targets, as well as hit individual sales targets. Fundamental to this role is the ability to create a memorable and consistent client experience by liaising with prospective clients, guiding them through their skin care journey, creating an exceptional in-clinic experience, and advising on a long-term plan to help them achieve their skin health goals. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, will have a drive for finding the best solution for the client, a passion for Cosmetic Dermatology, will have a history of building trusting relationships with client, and will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Accountabilities:

  • Achieve team and individual monthly sales targets.
  • Train, coach and motivating the internal sales team.
  • Work with the product and marketing team to execute on initiatives to acquire new clients
  • Work with the product and digital team to manage the client retention process for all dermatologists & laser technicians
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with Dermatologists and medical aestheticians to ensure cosmetic referrals are flowing to build the practice
  • Help manage a consistent skin consultation program
  • Perform cosmetic skin consultations with clients to determine best options for surgical or non-surgical treatments
  • Quote and discuss fees and payment policies
  • Respond to telephone and email enquires in a timely manner & ensure exceptional delivery of service

The Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Dermatology or Plastics practice
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills
  • Knowledge of skin varieties and conditions
  • Knowledge of cosmetic dermatology procedures and aesthetic services
  • Knowledge of skin care products and treatments
  • Experience in medical dermatology setting with a wide variety of client populations is an asset

The position is scheduled primarily during business hours Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday’s may be required on rotation.

This is a permanent role with full time hours. The role reports to the Business and Operations Manager and is part of a team of 11.
