Sales Lead Generator

The Role:

Medcan is recruiting for aSales Lead Generatorto join its growing team. The Sales Lead Generator will be responsible for prospecting and building a pipeline of qualified leads through solid customer relationship building and outbound calling. The ideal candidate is motivated, enthusiastic, enjoys face to face interaction, has a positive and optimistic attitude, has the ability to move conversations to a decision and ask for appointment commitments from potential customers. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Here are the main accountabilities of the role:

  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of all of our programs and services
  • Conduct research to identify potential customers
  • Outbound call campaigns, including cold calling
  • Engage customers by initiating communications and conducting follow-up communications
  • Build & manage a pipeline of leads
  • Refer qualified opportunities to the Sales Team to develop and close relations
  • Work closely with all internal departments
  • Represent the company with integrity and professionalism

The Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with lead generation, cold calling and sales in healthcare or insurance group benefits industry is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined sales and activity quota
  • Previous telephone sales skills an asset
  • Strong client service focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Well organized and process-driven; capable of multi-tasking
  • Must be highly motivated, determined and goal-oriented
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced professional environment

This is full-time role that is scheduled during business hours Monday through Friday. The role reports to the V.P. Sales and Account Management.
