Sales Representative – Fire Suppression Industry

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted February 9, 2018.

Our client is one of Canada’s largest distributors of fire suppression products to mechanical contractors.  They service contractors throughout the nation and are a well known house brand.  This service is known for being top notch in advising and consulting contractors in the best product mix to use within building systems, to optimize performance and ultimately save lives in an emergency.  They are looking for an Eastern Ontario Sales Representative to grow their Eastern GTA & Eastern 401 business and take it to new heights.  This will be a great role for a strong construction sales representative to earn a healthy six figure income and have the luxuries of independence!

RESPONSIBILITIES/SERVICES
Cold calling to generate new leads and client accounts with mechanical contractors.
Maintaining relationships with existing clients and soliciting purchase orders in the assigned territory.  

Being a strong consultant on products & systems to clients, engaging in a challenger sales process and providing strong service.
Networking at tradeshows, events and corporate functions.
Command control over proposals and presentations to senior level decision makers.

Responding to tenders in an appropriate fashion.
Adhere to sales goals and targets directed by management.
Manage data of pricing, sales and activity report.

Daily commuting in car within the assigned territory.  Territory spans Eastern GTA suburbs (Scarborough, Markham, Pickering, Ajax) and continues down the Eastern 401 to Kingston.  Candidate may have a few overnight stays per month at most, although not a huge part of the role.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
Post secondary education in a relevant field of study.
Driven, extroverted, aggressive and tenacious.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
2-5 years experience in industrial / construction product sales to contractors is preferred for the role. 
A candidate that is openly tenacious, extroverted, high energy and driven, is essential to the role. 
Hunter/farmer mentality–the ability to leverage on relationships from an onsite cold call and nurture these to build extensive networks. 

MUST have experience in cold calling for new accounts and have a history of exceeding sales targets.
 
THE DOLLARS
$50-65K base plus uncapped commissions.  Total compensation – $100K plus.  Car allowance, cellphone , laptop, benefits all provided.
