Senior Director, Sales – Software Solutions for Healthcare

Our client is a software engineering firm that has developed and commercialized software tools that leverage informatics to deploy information systems for the healthcare industry. They were recently acquired by the most comprehensive workflow solution provider in their space in North America, and is set-up for rapid growth. 

They are looking to capitalize on this momentum, and bring on board a Senior Director of Sales to join their Executive Team in Toronto. 
About the Role  

  • ​You will be responsible for diving strategic business development initiatives
  • You will be responsible for building a sales team with growth plans to scale quickly, and act as a mentor/ coach for future team members
  • You will be responsible for promoting the company’s solutions to thought leaders and strategic partners in the healthcare and research community
  • You will provide updates on the team’s performance and projections to the CEO as well as to the other senior leaders of the business when required
  • You will be accountable for the accurate and timely submission of sales forecasts and reports
  • You will keep abreast of changes within the industry regarding competition, customers, potential customers and general trends. You will also participate or establishes membership in relevant industry associations
  • You will offer input and market insight to support new solution launches


  • A track record in building sales infrastructures and teams from the ground-up
  • 5+ years of experience leading high performing and progressive teams
  • An established network of cancer registries, Hospitals, Laboratories, and Biobanks
  • A self-motivated leader with experience launching new products/services or breaking into new territories for a growing company
  • Intimate familiarity with the complexities of the Canadian healthcare landscape
  • Superior time management and organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written as well as an executive level presence
