Senior Manager, Inside Sales

Reporting to the VP Business Development, the incumbent is responsible for leading and managing a team of inside sales professionals and working with various Business Development Managers to support regional sales efforts in both the Broker Mortgage and the Advisor Channels. A primary focus of the role is to lead, mentor and manage the team to execute on a structured sales and prospecting methodology. The role will involve coaching, job shadowing and reviewing progress of Business Development Representatives (BDR) sales and prospecting activities. This includes developing sales strategies, setting sales objectives, assisting in territory management and motivation of the team. The incumbent will be required to undertake sales activities, as required, in order to achieve the organization¿s objectives. The role involves cross business line collaboration, impact and influence and the ability to strategically integrate Inside Sales within the Distribution team. Managing through organizational transformation will be a key to success.Strategically apply disciplined and rigorous sales management processes to drive sales and growth of the products and services offered by B2B Bank to include outbound call programs and effective inbound call management. Develop and implement the Inside Sales wholesale strategy for launch and ongoing sales of the new B2B Digital Bank (i.e. Advisor/Broker client referrals of chequing, savings, GICs, lines of credit, loans, etc.) Manage and train a team of Business Development Representatives with respect to company products, service offerings and sales methodologies. Lead by example and perform prospecting and sales development activities in order to attain the organization¿s objectives and support the strategic direction. Plan and achieve sales, growth, activity and prospecting goals and targets assigned to the department and the individual team members. Lead and coordinate the on-boarding of new Advisors and Brokers (e.g. systems training and support, follow up, great first experience with B2B Bank). In conjunction with the AVP, National Sales and Senior Managers, conduct market analysis to identify and develop business opportunities for targeted clients to increase sales volume. Work as part of a team in support of sales and marketing activities including trade shows, conferences, marketing campaigns/promotions, webinars and client presentations. Develop in-depth knowledge of all B2B Bank products and programs. Remain current on the various legislation, procedures, standards and policies related to the products and services offered by B2B Bank. Communicate information as necessary with clients and Business Development team members. Liaise with various internal departments for problem resolution and enhance overall customer experience. Manage escalations and complaints that require management intervention. Analyze, leverage and effectively communicate sales data, information, reporting and insights to understand opportunities and impact growth. Work with the Channel Management team to ensure strategies used for lead generation are optimal and accurate according to the changing focus of the team (new products, targeted campaigns, business opportunities, etc.). Provide tools that maximize employee performance Coach and conduct regular follow-up with the team (calls, quality and sales). Manage and measure call statistics. Implement measures to track performance. Oversee all operational projects related to the development and improvement of Inside Sales. Contribute as an active member of the Business Development leadership team and its agenda, vision and strategic framework Develop a strategic staffing plan and coverage approach to support sales growth, seasonal and special campaigns. Identify opportunities and recommend ongoing improvement and optimization of sales and customer service. Lead in planning yearly budgets, manage expense budgets closely and within target. Establish a working atmosphere that encourages the development of human resources and promotes initiative and creativity. Provide training for his employees with respect to his sector’s policies, programs, promotions and procedures. Manages the employees under his/her responsibility in accordance with the current legislation and with the policies, programs, procedures and collective agreement of the Bank and its subsidiaries, evaluates their performance, ensures the development of their potential and is responsible for decisions with respect to recruiting/dismissal and salary management. Establish and maintain procedures for privacy and confidentiality that is in line with B2B Corporate standards.University Degree/College Diploma in a related field and 4 to 6 years of proven sales management success in the Financial Services industry (Mutual Funds, Banking, Insurance, Mortgages). Extensive knowledge of Mutual Funds, Investment Loans, Lines of Credit, Self-Directed RRSP, Mortgages and Deposit products also an asset. Strong expertise as a Sales Leader, specifically in Inside Sales Exposure and Knowledge working in a Digital Transformation environment is an asset. Energetic and outgoing individual who is a self starter and can work with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multi-task, follow through and meet deadlines. Customer focused, adept at building customer relations. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
