Key Responsibilities of our Supply Staff
Understands and complies with the new How does Learning Happe and the AQI-Toronto Criteria-
Is familiar with policies and procedures related to child care centres
Demonstrates knowledge in child development related to working with infants, toddlers and preschool age and school age
Demonstrates ability to form trust relationships quickly with both children, parents and other staff in the room they are assigned
Adheres to Child Care Solutions Inc mission to be the best teacher they can be by attending all orientations, training, open to feedback and evaluation, one to one mentoring
Demonstrates ability to be a team player
Demonstrates excellent communication skills with both children and adults, oral and written skills
Demonstrates an ability to share developmental observations of the children they are working with with other staff in the room
Demonstrates adaptability in working with a variety of age groups or a strong desire to gain experience and knowledge in working with an age group they have no experience with.
Demonstrates confidence, maturity, professionalism at all times as they are representing Child Care Solutions inc.

Qualifications
Early Childhood Education diploma or degree or ECA certificate
Must be registered and a member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators to work as an RECE
Experience and sensitivity in dealing with members of different cultural and racial backgrounds, including visible and non-visible dimensions of diversity
Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills, ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff and volunteers
All staff working with children are required under the Child Care and Early Year’s Act to have a valid standard first aid certification including infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) prior to the first day of work
Up to date immunization record and Criminal Reference Check for the vulnerable sector
Ability to use frequent light to medium physical effort; lifting up to 20kg(44lbs) bending and stooping
Must be able to work outdoors for at least 2 hours daily year-round; may be exposed to heat, humidity or cold
Familiar with ELECT, Emergent Curriculum, How Learning Happens and open to learning other types of curriculum depending on the member centre they are assigned .
