Business Development & Proposal Manager

(Civica), (  a municipal water resources engineering consulting company located in Vaughan, Ontario. We provide consulting services to both private and public sector clients for storm and sanitary sewer capacity assessment and optimization, and storm drainage and stormwater management systems. Now, we’re looking for a new member to add to our team. We’re looking for a Business Development & Proposal Manager. That’s where you come in.  As our new Business Development & Proposal Manager, you’ll take ownership of our proposal process. Working on a range of proposal documents, you’ll ensure clear, engaging content that reflects everything our business has to offer. You’re an expert with words, and you know how to write a compelling proposal that leaves nothing to the imagination.  But proposal writing isn’t a solitary process: that’s why you’ll need to have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The best in this role will be proactive communicators: people who aren’t afraid to track down the right answers and draw strengths from the whole team.  Thriving in this role requires team work and time management. In addition to your proposal writing and communication skills, you can manage competing deadlines and tasks and work with your team to build proposals, put packages together and make submissions. You’ll coordinate contributions across departments and meet deadlines with ease.  When you’re not working on proposals, you’ll be supporting with business development. Specifically, you’ll build and maintain our proposal library, compile documentation, update our processes and procedures, and manage the overall proposal effort. Here’s some of the things you’ll be working on day-to-day: * Review all bid sites daily and municipal client sites as necessary* Administrate GO/NOGO process for prospective project opportunities* Create and maintain of proposal content (CVs, staff bios, project sheets, references, etc.) using RFPIO proposal management software* Coach and mentor technical leads and other proposal support staff with respect to proposal bestpractices* Input and maintain of client contact information, project opportunities, proposal submission information using HubSpot CRM software* Create company branded graphics, brochures, and LinkedIn posts* Develop and maintain document management processes and procedures including document templates, file naming conventions, network folder structure* Review of all client deliverables (letters, reports, specifications) for compliance with corporate branding requirements* Complete proposal documentation, follow ups, delivery, printing and production  Working at Civica Infrastructure Inc.  This is a full-time, permanent position, with potential overtime/weekends during peak periods and with the ability to work remotely. You’ll receive a competitive starting salary between $60,000 and $70,000 per year, commensurate with your experience. You’ll also enjoy 3 weeks’ vacation to start and a comprehensive benefits package. We take care of our people because we know our people are at the heart of our success.What are we looking for?  There are many qualities that will help you succeed in this role. One of the most essential is your ability to read and interpret highly technical RFP’s. Ideally, you will also have worked in the water and waste water field previously.  The best in this role have put in their time to develop a deep understanding of the process and structure of these bids and understand what is required to respond successfully.
