Digital Product Manager, eCommerce

Home Depot of Canada Inc.

This is a Contract position in Smiths Falls, ON posted March 25, 2021.

Position Purpose: Join one of Canada’s fastest growing and most innovative sites as the Digital Product Manager.

In this role you will be responsible for selecting and optimizing the solutions required delivering the digital portion of the interconnected strategy, as well as managing defects and enhancements as required.

You will advance the The Home Depot’s distinctive brand position and improve the customer experience, within our overall multi-channel approach.

The Digital Product Manager will be a key contributor in helping to define, launch and operate our online experiences.

You will coordinate and manage defect identification, resolution, and release management for all projects coming through the approved project funnel.

Working with leadership, the Digital Product Manager will help develop the long term product vision, as well as oversee the execution of the product roadmap.

The right candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience in the product management field, with an ecommerce based company and will possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be detailed oriented and flexible.

The individual’s key responsibilities will be to manage the solutions used to drive all the digital ecommerce and marketing activities.

Position Responsibilities: Work with the product management team to contribute towards the digital solutions required to deliver the interconnected retail vision and strategy.

Proactively work with all teams to validate tests are in place for all defect/enhancement items; manage budget to ensure adherence to project schedules and costs Lead direct report to partner with project managers, business analysts, and IT to ensure proper procedures are followed throughout the entire defect cycle Work with vendors to ensure optimal performance of products and to keep abreast of product roadmaps.

Ensure product offerings are used to maximum benefit to Home Depot.

Work with Leadership to develop and maintain a short and long term product road map, prioritizing features based on potential impact to the business.

Continuously measure, analyze and improve the performance of website features against stated business needs.

Partner with web IT to manage the ongoing implementation of website features to ensure project milestones are met, as well as assess project risks, dependencies and resource requirements Work with functional groups within the Canadian division to translate customer and business needs into detailed product requirements and specifications Lead initiatives discovery sessions and championing.

Work closely with the Web Analytics and Customer Insights team to understand market research and customer attitudes as it pertains to the digital landscape.

Keep abreast of digital and ecommerce industry.

Develop and mentor direct report Experience/Knowledge Required: Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year) and performance management code requirements (M Meets Expectations).

Knowledge and adherence to Home Depot policies and procedures Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a product management role, in a technology-based company.

University degree (4) year program.

Proven product management successes (has been part of past new product launches, managed a product from infancy to growth).

Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.

Able to work well with cross organizational teams and external clients.

Works well with ambiguity within a new product launch environment.

Familiar with digital marketing principles and technology and can translate into laymen terms.

Strong analytical capabilities, ability to analyze large quantity of data, ability to translate results into strategies and tactics.

Teamwork and ability to quickly build strong relationships.

Strong organizational skills, including the ability to balance multiple priorities & manage time effectively Hybris, Adobe Web Technology, SAP experience preferred
