We are looking for a Director, Contracts and Procurement to support across the business as a key point of contact for contract management.

What you’ll do…
· Key point of contact for all contracts – this will include the scope of contracts to exit current service agreements, IT and Engineering vendors including consultants, Integration partners, and likely Staff Augmentation partners.

There will be extensions to be negotiated to deliver business continuity, new contracts to scope, and revisions of existing contracts to leverage our buying power
· Scope of the role includes creation and maintenance of a repository of all contracts including key dates for renewal, notice periods, cancellations
· Key point of contact to ensure appropriate levels of contract approvals are coordinated in the business at the right time
· Key point of contact to ensure security and data privacy reviews are completed
· Manages the commercial negotiation working with finance and business leaders
· Manages contracting process from initiation through to final signature
· Key point of contact to manage legal reviews
· Accountable to ensure business leadership has reviewed at the correct timing to ensure timely completion & designs a process for leadership reviews
· Ability to prioritize against business needs – has a clear understanding of business goals and objectives
· Ability to be vendor and customer-facing when required (ability to meet with Bank lender’s procurement departments)
· Responsible for making sure the contract meets the needs of the business (as defined by the business) Strategic planning – understand the organization’s objectives and plans as they pertain to a specific project and provide expert planning and advice on suitable procurement strategies to achieve project success.

Analyze
– conduct options analysis and provide recommendations for the use of appropriate procurement methodologies.

Using your extensive knowledge of procurement methods, tools, and practices, you will understand the ‘why’ behind each procurement option you assess in order to provide the most appropriate recommendations for a go-forward plan.

Planning – develop procurement strategies, plans, schedules, activities, and process frameworks (selection methodologies, evaluation plans, evaluation criteria, etc.).

Implementation – develop RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs for major contracts including the development of the statement of work, selection methodologies, and evaluation plans, ensuring rigorous adherence to the principles of fair, open, and transparent processes.

Provide regular reporting on procurement progress, respond to RFP inquiries and oversee the selection process.

Evaluation and Award – participate in the selection process by reviewing submissions and providing procurement evaluation reports to client groups.

Lead, or participate, in the negotiation of contracts to ensure compliance with the terms outlined during the bidding process.

Contract Management – map procurement protocols to business processes to clarify the appropriate procurement protocols to achieve specific business outcomes.

Establish and implement suitable contract management measures to address accountability and audit inquiries.

Monitor contract progress and address non-conformance issues with the contractor.

What you bring to the table…
· 10 years of experience supporting procurement projects with increasing complexity and scope.

.

BS/BComm in business, a quantitative field, or paralegal studies.

Understanding of procurement contract management process .

Bonus for MBA or JD .

Previous experience within category management or strategic sourcing .

External procurement and/or legal certification preferred PC skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) .

Detailed knowledge of procurement methods .

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop effective relationships with vendors and client groups.

Strong writing skills to produce high-quality tender and contract documents.

Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail.

.

Excellent organization and project management skills to ensure procurement activities are planned, tracked, and executed on schedule.
