· Retail Apply Now District Manager Retail North York $Competitive Salary Bonus Benefits Privately owned retail business seeks a District Manager to help lead the sales performance in the North York, GTA area.

Our client Our client is the Owner Operator of a chain of retail stores across Canada providing products and services to a specific customer.

Having led the business to its current size and created a profitable business with established brand and large customer base, the President now wants to create a step change in the business that will see it grow substantially and take it to the next level.

As a result, they seek a District Manager whose ambition and talent will match that of the organisation.

The role Managing retail locations across the North and West of the Toronto GTA, this person will work closely with store managers to development localized business strategies aimed at growing the customer base.

Sharing best practice across locations, providing coaching and mentoring and keeping a close eye on performance, this person will look to drive revenue across the district.

Responsible for recruitment, on boarding and on going training, this person will ensure that the organisation is attracting the best talent, is providing first class training and ongoing support to ensure the success of each of the store managers within their territory as well as other key personnel.

Developing individual business plans and then executing on these plans will be key to driving performance for the locations.

Local population demographic, location, footfall, competition and availability of business partnerships will all contribute to each individual plan and the District Manager will be key to both the development and the execution of these plans.

As this organisation continues along its growth trajectory, this individual will see their role expand and increased responsibilities come their way as they demonstrate value to the organisation through the delivery of growth within their region and beyond.

The candidate You should have proven experience within the retail environment driving the performance of a group of stores, outlets or similar.

It does not really matter whether you have managed consumer goods, travel services, healthcare services, consumer services, food and beverage, jewelry, fashion, apparel, pharmaceutical, luxury goods, automotive or any other product or service sold from a retail location.

What matters is that you are able to translate excellence in customer service into sales performance and are able to bring people with you on that journey.

You should have strong coaching and mentoring skills, be able to demonstrate a commercial acumen and have examples of where your creativity or ingenuity has delivered increased sales volumes.

You should be ambitious an understand that by joining a mid size entrepreneurial environment you will have the opportunity to make a big impact on this business through your performance in this role.

This role is being hired to start in January.
