About The Role:Engineering Manager`s function is to provide production support to the production departments in support of absorption and quality levels.

This includes process development, design, product development, process validation, problem solving related to production, productivity goals, equipment and new product support.

The ME manager will also support continuous improvement through LEAN and will responsible for managing the improvement process in his/her own organization as well supporting plant wide improvement process and establishing new baselines after improvement is made and validated.Reports To: VP Production Responsibilities:Develop manufacturing strategy as well as the ability to manage multiple projects, set and maintain priorities, track and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.Determine and eliminate root causes and diminish occurrences in the manufacturing process.Manage coordination of all resources to ensure project timings are achieved Work closely with design, manufacturing, quality assurance and maintenance personnel to prevent problems from occurring.Provide technical expertise to ensure equipment/facility specifications meet objectives.Analysis of customer specifications generating technical solutions through design.Quality assurance in new product development.Oversee the research, testing, development, and evaluation of new products and procedures.Implement and validate equipment and in-house processes.Oversee the development, implementation and optimization of plant layout.Able to assist in reducing cost through re-engineering product/material.Develop overall concepts for a new product.Check technical accuracy of work.Manage technical activities related to sourcing of equipment and facilities from outside vendors.Train the engineering and technologist staff in the proper performance of their duties.Technical Skills/Requirements: Demonstrated successfully leading a team.Engineering Degree or equivalent.Sound knowledge of manufacturing systems.Thorough knowledge of engineering theory, product and process design concepts.General knowledge of MRP system.Experience with Solidworks and, AutCAD.Excellent communication and advisory skills.Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings.Exhibits strong organizational skills.Ability to multitask.Knowledge of EH & S regulations and procedures.Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards.Working Environment:Office, vendors, and production floor.Subject to noise from equipment operation.
