We are expanding and this is a great opportunity to build out our estimating capabilities utilizing your experience. If you’re hungry for a role that you can make your own and for a chance to join a team who will encourage you, we want to meet you. Who are we? We’re Hollend Furnishings ( , a full-service company providing office furniture, space planning design, delivery and installations. For 30 years, we’ve serviced clients all across the GTA, and have built a reputation for delivering beautiful and functional designs. We don’t just source from one manufacturer, which means we’re able to provide our clients with innovative solutions that truly meet their needs. This, in combination with our fantastic client service, is what has kept our clients coming back, even 30 years later. Now, we’re busier than ever, and are looking for a new member to join our team. If you have knowledge of commercial furniture, or have worked in the commercial furniture industry, then you’ll be well-equipped to join us as our new Estimator! Estimator (Commercial Furniture): In this position, you’ll take the lead on providing quotes to our clients for their commercial furniture projects. Working as part of a team, you’ll connect with clients over phone and email to explore, clarify, and understand the scope of their project needs. You should have the ability to anticipate all aspects of the project and installation requirements.  Accuracy will be important.  Your ability to read, interpret and do drawings will be an element of the role.  Furthermore, using your extensive product and industry knowledge, you will prepare plans for the client which will include drawings and design boards, as well as pricing and quotations. You’ll use a variety of programs to complete drawings and quotations including CET/ Project Matrix and/or AutoCAD, Excel, and Quotewerks (we’ll train you on these, if you don’t already know them!). And finally, once the client accepts the quotation, you’ll move the project forward by entering the order details in our system. You’ll send the order to our manufacturers, making sure all the details are ready for the next phase of the process. That is when operations steps into the process managing the order and installation.  Your work is critical to the success of operations and having a happy customer. We work closely as a team, so from time to time, you may be required to visit a client to drop off samples or take measurements.  You may also be required to pick-up samples from manufacturing companies, go to bank or pick up office supplies.  Teamwork sometimes involves doing things beyond our job description.   Why you’ll love this role: You’ll have an opportunity to work with varied clients (education is our specialty, but we also work with corporate clients across a variety of industries), serving as a key player in their design and planning process. We’ll trust in your experience, knowledge, and decision-making skills. We are looking for a team player who can help us build out our estimating capabilities. We’re looking for someone who’s excited to bring their ideas to the table, who goes the extra mile for their clients, and who is confident about the value they can bring to them. If you’re ready for a role in which you can use your skills and knowledge every day to make a big impact on a small but mighty team, then look no further.   Working @ Hollend Furnishings: We’re a small but growing team with lots of opportunity for a person with lots of ambition.  If you asked us why this is a great place to work, you’d hear about the impact you can make in your own role and to our business as a whole. This is an environment where you can be innovative, and where you’ll be encouraged to put your hand up and try new things so you can always keep learning. We want you to make this job your own, and we’ll work with you to create a role in which you can thrive long-term. This is a full-time permanent position working in our Concord office.
