The HR Consultant, KPMG Law will collaborate with the HR Business Partner to develop and execute talent strategies in their business unit that help us to effectively deploy, retain, engage and develop the right talent in the right ways for our current and future business needs, ultimately delivering on our Clear Choice strategy.

As a member of KPMG’s Business Enablement Services Team, the HR Consultant, KPMG Law plays a key role in delivering on our Business Enablement vision and ‘How can I help you’ service culture through support to Business Unit Leader(s), Develop Leader(s), and People Leaders.

What you will do Trusted advisor, coach, and influencer to the Senior Partner, KPMG Law, Business Unit Leaders (BUL) and Service Line Leaders on talent related matters.

Understands and articulates clients’ business strategy, challenges, and opportunities.

Implements and monitors the effectiveness of national strategic people initiatives in the business unit.

Collaborates with the HRBP to implement talent strategies and plans aligned with business needs.

Supports change management within the business unit.

Discerns insights and trends from information and data, and leverages them to identify opportunities for change that will deliver value and impact to the business.

Develops and maintains excellent relationships with People Leader Teams, and provides support in the execution of their accountabilities.

Provides guidance and hands on support to the business unit in implementing HR programs and processes.

Regularly monitors the effectiveness of national HR programs, processes, and services, and raises concerns, and provides feedback to the Centre to drive continuous improvement based on business needs.

Analyzes and interprets Global People Survey (employee survey) results for the business unit(s).

Collaborates with the HR Business Partner to develop and implements GPS related action plans and communications.

Partners with HR Centre of Excellence peers to bring HR Centre expertise to their business unit(s), as appropriate.

Participates on national HR project teams, playing a track lead or contributory role.

Supports leaders in creating a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Identifies opportunities to embed diversity and inclusion in local processes and programs.

What you bring to the role Bachelor’s degree in HR or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and post-secondary diploma or certificate in HR.

A CHRP, or CHRL designation is considered an asset.

4 years of experience in Human Resources in a professional services environment.

HR experience in a law firm is considered an asset.

A strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities for multiple stakeholders.

Ability to develop strong relationships with internal clients, gain credibility, and be viewed as a trusted advisor.

Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are required.

Works well in corporate shared services, team environment.

Proficient with MS Office.
