Internal Controls Supervisor

Rothmans, Benson & Hedges

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted June 16, 2019.

Do YOU want to embark on the experience of a lifetime in our Internal Controls (IC) Department?

Rise to the challenge as an Internal Controls Supervisor.

Reporting to the Manager, Internal Controls and Fiscal Compliance, you will carry out projects as required primarily in a head office environment with possibly 10-20% national travel.

Responsibilities include: Risk assessing, planning, designing, managing and executing of Internal Control Reviews and Advisories.

Advising the business and various stakeholders of best practices for controls in a fast paced transforming environment.

Supervising the Sarbanes Oxley program (SOX) comprised of designing, walking through and testing of key internal controls.

Evaluating internal controls, policies and procedures.

Identifying opportunities for improvement and recommendations for innovative and cost-effective solutions across the business.

Assisting the Manager in establishing a risk assessment model, defining, changing and implementing the department plan and strategy.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree with CPA designation or equivalent.

4-7 years of experience within internal controls/audit related role.

Strong communication and influencing skills.

Experience with SOX/404 Working knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Understanding of IS strategies and emerging IS issues.

Self-motivated individual with the ability to work with limited supervision and a team player.
