Manager, Channel Partner Success

Air Canada

This is a Full-time position in Edmonton, on posted November 20, 2021.

Working in close collaboration with the regional Directors and Reporting to the Senior Director of Cargo Global Sales and Revenue Optimization, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supporting the overall relationships, revenue performance, and sales strategies of Air Canada Cargo’s Channel Sales Partners (General Sales Agents).

As the central point of contact to the general sales agents across all geographies, this strong and focused leader will closely drive and measure results and create an environment of success for all channel partners by working closely to align with the regional heads, central marketing, revenue management and global partnership teams as well as all relevant stakeholders to drive exceptional revenue and market share growth in all affected regions.

– Identifies, negotiates, and manages agreements with General Sales Agents (GSAs) across all regions.

– Develops yearly targets, revenue budgets and a strong set of KPIs and follows-up with quarterly business reviews as well as ad-hoc reviews as needed.

– Ensures an environment for success is created and maintained for all partner GSAs.

– Liaises regularly with GSA management and staff to ensure strong alignment with regional and corporate sales and marketing strategies.

– Monitors individual GSA performance across customer groups and solutions.

Develops specific tactical initiatives to grow business.

– Works closely with the Global Partnership managers to ensure alignment and top-level customer satisfaction across all GSA controlled areas.

– Reviews, adjusts and renegotiates base and individual GSA contracts as relevant.

– Regularly travels to regions to provide sales and strategy leadership to all GSA partners and conduct joint sales calls with top-tiered customers as relevant.

– Respond effectively to rapid changes in the marketplace by successful internal and external communication to ensure customer service and Air Canada Cargo revenue protection.

– Works closely and coordinates with all relevant stakeholders, including but not limited to Regional Directors and Sales teams,
– Global Partnership team, Revenue Management and Marketing.

– Bachelors degree, or equivalent experience.

– 5 years of experience in sales and people management roles.

– Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable business insight.

– Airline and/or Cargo experience strongly preferred.

– Strong leadership ability and experience in leading and coaching a team.

– Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to adapt messaging to engage with different cultures and levels of management.

– Effectively communicate complex ideas simply and easily.

– Ability to travel internationally.

– Ability to work in English and French is an asset.

– Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel and other business intelligence tools.

– Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Required as of October 31st 2021 Linguistic Requirements
