Job Number: REQ5532 Location: Calgary, AB and surrounding areas Apply by: January 31, 2023 Paygrade: N-OTH Positions available: 1 Leader Name: AVP, Advisory Services As ATB Wealth’s next Market Director you will provide primary leadership in growing a group of about 20 advisors in ATB Wealth composed of one or more client-facing roles in a defined geographic market.

The role provides coaching to advisors on their book of business including fostering high performance, facilitating partnerships, communicating ideas and generally promoting the consistent execution of a great client experience that leads to positive business results.

Please note that travel is an integral part of this role.

Travel up to 25% a month is expected in this position.

Market Director Accountabilities: Tailored coaching and performance management of advisors to build an engaged and productive team delivering the desired client experience Building an advisor talent pipeline in the market geography and leading the selection of client-facing advisors according to key attributes Implementation and monitoring of ATB Wealth’s service commitments to clients including communicating best practices Acting as an escalation point for advisors on urgent and important day-to-day issues that require management action Representing ATB Wealth the market to use influence for a positive impact Facilitating collaboration in the market between different client-facing roles in ATB Wealth and ATB Financial as a whole Business planning work with advisors and contributing to the market business plan Connecting advisors to the right specialist resources in ATB Wealth to close knowledge gaps, promote specialization and encourage development Managing advisor teaming scenarios Guiding segmentation activity in the market to ensure the right client connects with the right advisor Collaborate with other ATB team members with a particular focus on the business line leaders, Mastery coaches, banking leaders and field marketing Competencies and Skill Sets In-depth understanding of wealth management in Alberta and beyond in regards to client experience, sales, compliance and product Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and influence advisors and an ability to hold a team accountable in the right way to measurable goals and a high level purpose Designations and Training Minimum ten years of experience in wealth management, banking or finance Completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) CFP designation Completion of the Branch Managers Course (BMC) considered an asset At ATB, we know that as you develop in your career, you gain many transferable skills.
