National Director, Marketing and Communications


This is a Contract position in Windsor, ON posted October 9, 2021.

Position Title: National Director, Marketing and Communications Company: March of Dimes Canada Provide strategic and operational leadership to MODC’s overall marketing and communications, including a major initiative to revitalize the brand.

Lead, manage and develop high-performing marketing and communications.

The National Director, Marketing and Communications will play a leadership role in the design and delivery of marketing and communications strategies that will advance March of Dimes Canada’s strategic objectives and enhance its reputation and influence as a progressive, high-impact leader within the disability sector.

The incumbent will bring senior-level experience in marketing and communications, spanning a range of areas.

In order to play a leadership role in a major initiative to revitalize MODC’s brand, they will have demonstrated experience in market research; brand strategy and positioning; creative development, and brand application across different platforms, materials and touchpoints.

They will also be experienced in the design and execution of innovative digital marketing and content strategies, including website development, email marketing, social media, SEO and SEM.

Complimenting these strengths will be excellent writing skills and a strong generalist skill set, enabling them to effectively direct integrated marketing campaigns and oversee the corporate communications function.

An experienced manager and coach, the incumbent will lead the day-to-day operations of the marketing and communications team as it delivers on departmental priorities and supports internal customers.

Serving as a senior business partner and trusted advisor, they will develop a nuanced understanding of the organization’s different business units; design strategies to meet identified needs and goals; and oversee delivery.

With this in mind, strong project and relationship management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities will be key success factors for the role.

They will engage and collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts across the organization, taking an integrated approach to projects where required.

They will also serve as a member of the organization’s Senior Management Team.
