This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted March 14, 2019.

In light of this, our team in Ottawa is looking for a Project Delivery Manager to join our growing team.

To perform this role successfully, the Design Manager will be responsible for but not limited to the following:Main responsibilities: Responsible for the delivery of engineering deliverables on time and budget, supported by geographic or segment managers and in collaboration with the Project Design ManagerResponsible for the weekly and monthly reporting of engineering deliverablesLead actively in the preparation and the adherence to a schedule of deliverables in collaboration with the Design Manager, segment management team and team planning.Responsible to continuous review and improvement of the overall program strategy to meet design schedule and budgetEnsure all KPIs are monitored and metWork with the Design Manager on cascading and managing the budgetEnsure fluid communication between the project management team, the design team, construction team and the various internal and external stakeholders as engineering elements.Lead the implementation of processes such as change management.Establish a constant communication link with entrepreneurs, customer, and internal stakeholders to ensure the good operation of the project and the progress of the work.Lead actively the negotiations when changes are made with the suppliers and/or subcontractors during awarding of subcontracts.Perform all other tasks related to the post.Report to Project Director or SteerCo member Qualifications:
• 15+ years of experience and more engineering including more than 10 years in a management role.

• 10+ years of experience in managing teams to design complex transit, civil or industrial multi-discipline projects and size of several hundred million dollars.

• Demonstrated experience in leadership, strong communication and team management
• Member of the PEO, MPI or MPM, an important asset.

• Demonstrated experience in the development, implantation and management of project management process
• Demonstrated experience in the leadership and management of multidisciplinary team of professionals.

• Ability to work with teams of consultants and subcontractors.

• Spirit oriented towards results and ability to handle multiple priorities this way than to use the feedback process to identify opportunities for improvement and innovative solutions.

• Willingness to work in a collaborative environment and ability to develop strong and effective work teams
• Strong skills in verbal and written communication as well as in the development and production of technical presentations to audiences specialized or not.

• Showing initiative, independence and an ability to work with limited supervision,
• Available for business travel or temporary relocations in North America.
