Project Manager

Do you have experience as a Project Manager in construction or engineering? Looking to work in a collaborative driven environment? Then this opportunity may be for you!

Our client is a privately-owned business specializing in recycling certain material for the last 75 years. They have grown over the years and now have international clients across the globe. They are currently seeking a Project Manager to join their Hamilton team.

Your main tasks:

• Be the inside point of contact for all projects and manage them from start to finish.
• Meet with clients and department heads to provide advice and identify client needs.
• Prepare a high-level budget and planning schedule to submit for approval.
• Prepare the project charter and get the client’s approval.
• Be responsible for reviewing all contracts, specifications, addenda, drawings and correspondence to be able to efficiently plan and execute the project’s scope of work.
• Communicate with on-site production staff and trades.
• Prioritize workflow and logistics.
• Communicate with staff, suppliers and other service providers on an as needed basis.
• Carry out other related tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Civil or architectural engineering or construction management degree.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in account management or similar role.
• 4-5 years as a Project Manager for a general contracting firm.
• Commercial and industrial project experience is required.
• Must be able to work well in a team environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of all facets of construction.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
