Project manager, quality assurance


This is a Full-time position in Ottawa, ON posted October 4, 2019.

Senior Project Manager On behalf of our Public Sector Client we are seeking a Senior Project Manager, to support the creation of a department-wide quality assurance program, linking quality monitoring to the project management framework, and to establish continuous improvement, as a mechanism to evolve service delivery processes.

Job Details Assess current quality processes and procedures for effectiveness and alignment Report on quality assurance process alignment to industry standard quality assurance practices Make recommendations on mechanisms to alter existing processes Make recommendations on the amalgamation of existing processes into an overarching Quality Assurance Framework Review proposals with key stakeholders within the project management, planning and operational teams Make recommendations to management on adoption of recognized quality assurance standards Develop an internal audit mechanism and other quality assurance activities Recommend alignment of Roles and Responsibilities across organizational areas and organizational levels Develop requirements for a client quality feedback solution Evaluate customer quality concerns to understand any non-compliances Plan, conduct and monitor inspection of work products and services Work with other quality assurance team members, collect and compile statistical quality data Analyze data to identify areas for improvement Develop, recommend and monitor implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities Identify training needs and organize/facilitate training sessions to prepare staff to execute their QA responsibilities Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by internal or external auditors Evaluate audit findings and use Root Cause Analysis techniques to identify sources of non-compliance Monitor risk management activities related to the Quality Assurance program Recommend quality assurance program data collection requirements Report on ongoing compliance with quality program process and record keeping Participate in the definition of client service standards with planning and operations teams Participate in the development and execution of a continuous improvement program Mandatory Skills 10 years of experience as a Project Manager, developing and implementing Quality Assurance processes and procedures 5 years of experience performing statistical analysis in a quality assurance role 5 years of experience monitoring corrective and preventive actions 5 years of experience preparing and presenting quality assurance reports to Senior Management Start Date Immediate Assignment Length 1 year (with 2×1 year options) Security Requirement Secret
