PTAG: Project Director


This is a Full-time position in Bowmanville, ON posted August 27, 2020.

PTAG is currently seeking a Project Director who will develop program-level project management plans and provide program management support for the managing of projects, project managers and other project support personnel for the planning and execution of Nuclear plant modifications, Nuclear infrastructure projects, such as building of nuclear waste storage facilities, Development and delivery of advanced inspection tools, Non-nuclear infrastructure projects such as building of office buildings; and General building improvements.

Location: Clarington, ON Type of Employment: Full Time Responsibilities: Provide leadership and supervision for the managing, controlling and administration of to Program Managers, Project Managers and Project Support staff Develop program-level project management plans Develop and implement annual Program Management initiatives as developed by Project Representative(s) Accountable for meeting Program Scorecard initiatives Accountable for Engineers, Contractors, OEMs and Consultants overall performance in delivering their Services Provide project management services for specified key projects specified by Project’s Representative Requirements: BSc/BA degree in a relevant field (Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management) Ten plus years of relevant job-related experience in project management with five years of program management experience in the Nuclear Power Industry Thorough understanding of current project/program management techniques and methods Have a good understanding of nuclear safety and have nuclear experience to be able to execute efficiently and effectively in the nuclear environment A good understanding of Nuclear Quality Management Requirements Strong skills in developing internal reporting systems, benchmarking, and target setting Good analytical and problem-solving skills Comfortable and at ease in leading presentations to all levels of site, divisional and executive management.
